Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance through the SETH – 5 Star Texas Advantage Program assists home buyers in obtaining a home loan to purchase new or existing homes. Grants range from 3% – 6% depending on loan amount. Can be used on FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional Loans.

Up to $453,100 Purchase Price

Down Payment Assistance for buyers is available up to the amount of $453,100 or the maximum amount permitted by HUD. Your credit score must be 640 or higher for 5% grant on conventional loan, the amount of assistance is determined by credit score. 660 credit score required for 6% grant on FHA Loan. FHA loan limits up to $386,400.

Take advantage of a 30 year fixed rate mortgage loan with up to a 6% grant for down payment assistance and closing costs. And best of all, because this program is a grant, it does not need to be paid back!

Grant Options Require at Least 640 FICO

Up to $21,975 for Down payment and closing cost assistance is calculated as 5% of the initial principal balance of the mortgage loan. Each buyer must attend a home buyer education course and obtain a certificate of completion. A home inspection may be required.
